I'm about to write to the Daily Mail urging them to make Rooney MotM after another typical non-performance today. But I have run short if ideas on how to persuade them he's in the same world class bracket as Messi and Pele and those other Johnny types. Does somebody have a decent suggestion? Unfortunately it can't be, "Because he's Rooney, because he plays for Utd and because he's English". I have used that one too many times.
