This saga is only starting - all the main action still to come, right up until the last few minutes of deadline day. Bank on it. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Sky TV is paying both clubs to run this farce. It's having the exact effect I'd want to keep the fans from both clubs glued in to what are essentially two teams that have been gutted by greed, wrangling and incompetence. Two teams that are letting their traditions (which both boast openly about) go to hell. Our shitty board even had it's bubble transplanted from Highbury to our shiny new Arab Stadium, essential to maintain the delusions I'd think.
So, time for the Liverpool fans to get behind their team and do the loyalty and respect thing in support of their loving owners and passionate manager. And time for the Arsenal fans to fully buy into this new world of wonga where we get back £40mill (plus £1 of course) of the hundreds of millions the cunts have looted out of the club. If we had any intention whatsoever to be challenging for the prizes in our sport we'd have done what it takes to fill the obvious and gaping holes in our team by now. Other clubs can do it, why can't we? Too difficult? PSG stopped us? The weather was very hot? Or maybe don't look at all because the Suarez thing is so exciting it's safe to ignore everything else. And let's say Suarez jumps ship in the middle of his contract. Do the maths. How much will the ticket prices increase next year to pay for our new ultra competitive big time policy of brushing some crumbs to the fans?
A goalie. A decent defender to step in should our lone (accidentally decent) defender get injured. The midfielder we've needed for the past decade. A striker who can kick and head the ball at the goal instead of blast it twenty yards wide and then die in a mini-drama of regret.
Which begs the question. What the hell is wrong with our manager? Or maybe, what's our manager's game? Is it still football or is it something else?

i think if we had come in with a £45m+ bid from the off this would of had a much better chance of happening. Instead of pissing off the selling club by trying to force their hand with some sort of internal dispute with their best player in the lead up to the start of the season.
the idea was that this was wengers last gasp attempt to go all out in style, able to do what he never has before and push out the boat. but he and the directors have fucked it up. big time.
