In terms of England tournament disappointments this ranks pretty low. With the exception of the USA game we played as well as anyone throughout.

I think we should have a pretty solid future with the likes of Saka, Foden and Bellingham at the core of it.

Tonight with a bit of luck things could have been different but the margins are fine and unfortunately we cannot seem to break through this glass ceiling when it comes to elite opponents. On to the next one I guess.

Yeah we played ok in fairness, I think ultimately as many of us suspected it would the defence let us down and they were more clinical than we were in punishing it…although arguably we could have had a hat trick of penalties but then you have to actually score them.
