Very different squad this year: Arteta might have had to swallow this last year because the senior players would have downed tools and sunk him; this year those guys are mostly gone and the first team is full of his men - he knows he can win this one.
A reasonable point but then look at last season. Pepe got his first red card (no denying it was a stupid one) and arteta goes for him in the media.
The next game xhaka gets yet another stupid red card & arteta says it’s an internal matter.

We can go in to on-field issues if you want but I really don't see the relevance here to what has happened with Aubameyang.
Auba's a gifted footballer but evidently a flawed character. Last few times I watched him, admittedly a while ago, it looked like he wasn't much interested in football any more. Not really an acceptable attitude considering the amount of cash he's extracting from fans' pockets. If he's as shiftless today as he was when I saw him then he's no loss to anyone.
