Jesus Navas - what a player. Its been so so long since we've had a superstar on the flanks.

Since Pires and Ljungberg (of course he was never that kind of winger) but since Pires and probably Overmars, we've never had that kind of wing player.

Reckon someone like Di Maria perhaps would make more of a difference to this side than a striker.

A pacey, quick winger who relies on pace and tricks to get to the byline and put balls in.

Would make such a difference to this side.

And Giroud would be there to miss every chance

This is what a pacey winger does - really stretching City.

No wonder they've lost a few away games as the more basic teams still rely on pacey wingers who may not have finesse but have pace and can run at you all day.

Given the high line City play and the way City's midfield is in all out attack mode, you can understand how the presence of a pacey player can hurt them.

Anyway, that's me with my thoughts for the day.
