Be interesting to see if Suarez apologises. If I were his agent I'd be telling him to release another statement saying he's got nothing to apologise for, it's Liverpool who have gone back on their word.

I think Rodgers is showing his inexperience with all of this bravado he seems to be coming out with on a daily basis. Best to keep quiet IMO.

If I were his agent I'd be keeping my mouth shut, given the release clause screw up.

But no doubt there will be some statement put out crying again. Hasn't even had the courage yet to put in a transfer request and lose his precious "loyalty bonus".

You think? I'm not so sure. I think Suarez has realised that we're the only club in for him and its not worth the hassle. I saw clips of him signing autographs from his car. Not that it means anything of course but seemed like an odd thing to do. I think he's gonna stay.

The only way I see him leaving this summer is if RM think Bale is too expensive and instead bid £50m for Suarez. Then the shit will really hit the fan because he'll go on strike to get that move.

Arsenal goalkeeper Damian Martinez has urged Arsene Wenger to break the bank in order to sign Liverpool striker Luis Suarez this summer.

The Uruguayan claimed in an interview with the Guardian on Tuesday that he had been promised a move following the club's failure to secure a place in this season's Champions League.

Liverpool owner John W Henry has since reiterated that the club will not sell the 26-year-old, who is currently training away from the first team.

Arsene Wenger maintains Arsenal will continue to be "amicable" in their pursuit of Suarez and Martinez believes the forward could be the key to boosting his side's title chances.

"We are all waiting for Suarez to join Arsenal," Martinez told Goal.

"Arsene Wenger wants him more than anybody else. I hope the deal gets done so we can aim at something more than qualifying for the next Champions League.

"Let's see if we can break the bank and bring him in."

Brendan Rodgers insists the club are in control of the situation and says Suarez will be permitted to rejoin first-team training sessions when he accepts that he will remain at Anfield this summer.

Suarez has insisted he was given assurances by Brendan Rodgers that he could leave Anfield to play in *Europe’s top club competition – after being shocked by the news that a £40,000,001 bid from Arsenal had not triggered a buy-out clause.

And Cavani, the international strike-partner of Suarez, who moved from Napoli to Paris Saint-Germain for £55m, says his friend has been TOO loyal to Liverpool.

Canavi said: “The Liverpool coach can talk about loyalty and disrespect, but maybe he needs to look up what it means.

“Luis had the chance last year to join a big club like Juventus, who went on to win the league in Italy.

“But, instead, he chose to stay and fight with Liverpool. Now, that’s what you call loyalty.

“I’ve known about his agreement with Liverpool and understood that he would be leaving, if they were not playing in the Champions League.”
