Well, Bender, Suarez and maybe Higuain were the only bids we actually made, so it's all stupid really. If you allow the swell of newspaper/internet garbage gossip to fuel your irrational disappointment, you deserve that disappointment and more.

The underlying point though is correct. People are angry at the lack of new arrivals. Whether people should actually be angry that we haven't bothered to look for players rather than being pissed off at failing to close (imaginary) deals is irrelevant. The disappointment is felt by IMO the large majority of Arsenal fans.

Riley is different class.

Pretty sure we had shonky refs against us for some of the previous 49 games though.

The Riley performance can't be compared to the referee performance today. In that game Ferdinand and Neville should have been sent off and Rooney dived for the penalty. Those were 3 clear cut decisions that he got wrong that cost us the game. Today, I don't see that we can complain about the first penalty, the 2nd penalty could have gone either way (it wasn't a shocker) and given that Kos was already booked, I don't see how anyone can complain about the 2nd yellow.

It's easier to complain about the ref and blame the defeat on him than it is to blame the actual culprits.

I've just seen the result which is the result of dicking around in the transfer market. Arsenal football club no longer has any credibility. We had no chance of making the additions we need to the team and even less now before the window shuts.

I hope Wenger makes no moves now, because anything he does now will be a waste and a millstone around the neck of this club.
