apparently SSN is reporting that after the game suarez denied saying that he wanted to stay at liverpool.

The "clause" was obviously a bust so we would have already upped the bid if we were in the least bit serious. There's no real bid here, just a giant distraction. I would guess it was done to send a message that Arsenal are back on the big money scene. Good for investors, share prices, sponsorship negotiations and all the important stuff that football has become.

No you're wrong, we're working hard but we are not close to signing anyone at the moment.
