Arsenal.
Best midfield we're going there with since 06/07 tbf.
I remember that just as if it were only 1997. Even our water carrying players like Parlour were direct and powerful and skilful. Anelka, the first of the big names that got away. Chris Wreh - a taste of what was to come. It's a team full of Chris Wrehs now, misfiring ninnies with their tippety, tip tap. Football was just better back then. Not because we were winning but because there was power, pace and a hell of a lot more technique than you see today. Is football faster today? You have to be joking, it's half the speed and boring as fuck.
But I suppose the big thing that sticks in my mind from that game is Sherringham is a ****.

Loved that day.
Not often a team goes to an away ground and leaves 70,000 ****s crying as they have just seen their team literally have their shit kicked out of them
The title was won that day no matter how much the FA tried to screw us with punishments when you consider the only punch thrown that day was by a certain Gary Neville on Ray Parlour and nothing was done to him
Alas RVN made up for all his ****yness later on in his career![]()
