I think if you are going to pretend you are a big club that will sign big players it is probably necessary to at least spend £1 in the transfer window. We haven't done that yet so I'm not sure this deliberately engineered fiasco has achieved the goal of trying to make Arsenal look like a serious football club not run by money grabbing scum. Add the Rooney nonsense in and on balance I'd say we have come out of this looking like the biggest laughing stock in world football bar Man City. So no change there then and on we go to another non-competitive season and 4th place by hook or by crooks.
