Just phoned William Hill for a price on Ramsay to score in the game and Robin Gibb to die in the next 48hrs.

All I could hear on the other end of the phone was laughing. They politley said they don't take bets on people dieing

When he acts instinctively, he's top notch. There was a moment in the first half where he got the ball back from Wigan on the edge of their area, and cleverly dropped the shoulder and side-stepped the defender easily, and opened up a fantastic opportunity. You wouldn't expect many attacking midfielders to have done that so well. And then...when he has the chance to play someone through, he freezes up and takes 5 seconds to decide. By then, the opening is gone.

The lack of footballing brain can be levelled at Ramsey more than Theo these days. When he has to act instinctively, he's quite sharp. When he has to make a decision - game over.

Walcott is absolutely hopeless in this type of game, when there's no space in behind the defence. We should get him off and bring Oxlade on. Sagna's also had a nightmare.

Even at 0-2 down against Villa, I thought we'd come back and win. Same for a couple of other comebacks this season. This time, I think we needed the equaliser before half-time to pull it off. It'll be difficult now. Think the best we'll get is a draw...which kinda sucks.

Four payers including the keeper behind the ball for their second. Hopeless defending.

Another problem is the lack of a spark in midfield. I know both Song and Rosicky are capable, but there's just not enough in there tbh.

This Wigan team is poor unless the opposition plays their game, which we are. If we pick up the tempo, pressure the ref every time they try to time waste and just keep the pressure on we'll score a good few. But if we tap it around in front of ten men and then give the ball away easily they'll get another. All season we've been horribly careless. Even when there's no pressure. It keeps costing us.

Wigan do seem very determined to be fair to them.

Tough 2nd half in store. Just hope they buckle under the wave of pressure we are bound to mount. But at the same time I bloody hope we don't get done on the counter.
