I think you will find that 'arry will insist on having the say on who gets dropped or picked. Remember that he is currently having success at spuds and if he gets them into the CL, he is in a strong position to make demands on the FA if they want him. He showed that attitude at Portsmouth where they called his bluff and he left - they had to crawl back giving him what he wanted. I reckon he is strong enough to get the FA to give him the leeway and if he gets good results, then they will let him continue to do so.

'arry will get it in writing. Not that he'll be able to read the contract but his mate will be able to tell him.

RAFAEL BENITEZ would be interested in talking to Chelsea — if Andre Villas-Boas is axed as manager.

Manuel Garcia Quilon, the former Liverpool chief's agent, insists the Spaniard is desperate to return to the Premier League.

Quilon said: "Benitez's priority is to coach in the Premier League.

"But there is nothing official — we have not been approached by Chelsea.

"We would only evaluate that possibility once there is an offer."

Chelsea have won just two of their last 10 Premier League games and are on the brink of a Champions League exit following their 3-1 defeat at Napoli in the first leg of their last-16 tie on Tuesday.

And with reports of unrest in the dressing room, it has been suggested Blues owner Roman Abramovich is considering a coaching change.

Benitez is available having been out of work since being sacked by Inter Milan in December 2010.

The 51-year-old has a track record of success having led Liverpool to Champions League and FA Cup glory, while also guiding Valencia to two La Liga titles.

Frank Lampard has admitted his relationship with Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has "not been ideal".

But, after captaining the Blues to a 3-0 win over Bolton on Saturday, he stressed his commitment to the club.

Asked about Villas-Boas, Lampard said: "I think, from the outside, you can probably see that it's not been ideal but the important thing is not to focus on individual relationships too much.

"It can only be negative and people do like to play on negatives."

Although Villas-Boas praised Lampard after the Bolton win , he said his display does not assure him of a place in the team.

The 33-year-old midfielder was dropped for the last two matches, including the midweek Champions League defeat by Napoli.

But he returned to lead the side against Bolton - and scored his 150th Premier League goal.

"There have been certain issues," Lampard said. "Certain players, we don't like not to play.

"But it's never a case of players throwing their toys out of the pram to the detriment of the club.

"The only way we can push on from now and secure Champions League football next year, potentially move through in the FA Cup and the Champions League this year, is to be positive.

"It's in the club's interest. It's not about any one individual here and negative things can take the shine off it."

Villas-Boas said Lampard's performance was "fantastic" but added: "There are six players competing for those three positions [in midfield]. When we play with a number 10, it's even less. It's six players for two.

"Frank had a big, big day and it was important for him after the disappointment of coming out of the team against Napoli and Birmingham.

"He proved he can make the difference for the team. We always pick the team we think is best for the game and today he showed why he is one of the best.

"You [journalists] asked me directly at Napoli if Lamps was disappointed at missing the game and I assure you that he was, just like Raul [Meireles] was disappointed today - just like [Oriol Romeu] and [John] Obi Mikel."

Lovable Fat Frank is being lovable again I see. I don't think it needs much of a genius to realise why he has come out and said there are issues in the dressing room, probably backed by the other Untouchables.
