I think you can have your licence taken for doing 100+ but it's up to the court to decide.

Someone on twitter just said he was involved, didn't actually say he was driving.

He'll get away with a fine or something anyway, can't see him going to jail.

    Awful paper.

SOCCER star André Santos was facing jail last night after he allegedly sped away from chasing cops at up to 130mph.
The Arsenal defender is also said to have weaved in and out of rush-hour traffic in his Maserati GranTurismo supercar.
He was finally nicked by the Gunners’ training pitch in London Colney, Herts, and could be jailed if guilty of dangerous driving.
Santos gunned his black Maserati to stretch ahead of pursuing police, it was claimed yesterday.
Cops were said to have struggled to keep up as the Brazilian international shot away at speeds of up to 130mph in the £110,000 car.
Police eventually stopped the 29-year-old left back 500 yards from Arsenal’s training ground.

The dad of one — who has several high-powered motors plus a tiny Smart Car for shopping — was arrested for dangerous driving and failing to stop.
He must answer bail next month and could be jailed for up to two years if his case goes to crown court and he is convicted.
Yesterday Santos, who joined the Gunners last year from Turkish side Fenerbahce, was not behind the wheel as he left the training ground. He was driven away in the back of a BMW.

Hidden ... ace André Santos is driven off yesterday
The chase happened on the eve of the Premier League season as Arsenal prepared for their opening game against Sunderland at the Emirates stadium.
Police followed Santos because he allegedly drove erratically for several miles — but he is said to have taken off.

A source added: “The allegation is that he was travelling at speeds up to 130 mph. Further enquiries are ongoing to verify the speed using on-board police cameras and technical equipment.”
A witness who saw Santos after he was stopped said: “Two police cars were there and two or three officers were talking to the driver.”

Flying down the wing ... André Santos in action for Arsenal
Santos, a £5.5million buy hailed as a “quality player” by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, lives in London with wife Suelen and their nine-month-old son Arthur. And he has acquired a taste for British institutions like fish and chips and Strictly Come Dancing.
Although his team-mates know he has fast motors, they take the mickey out of his Smart Car.
He says: “They joke, ‘This is not a player’s car — you bought it because you don’t have any money.’ But it is very cute and very practical for London.”

I didn't know our training pitch had powers of arrest tbh.

He'll get off anyway, all footballers do.

If John terry isn't a racist then santos isn't a dangerous driver.

And he couldn't even assault anyone.

The article was rubbish from the 2nd line, the Maserati isn't a supercar.
