There are no excuses for not spending that money, things behind the scenes would really be fucked up if we didn't spend it.

I personally think we've left it too late to bring in anybody of note with the money we've received from the sales of Cesc, Nasri & Clichy. If for example all of the funds have been made available to Arsene, the likes of Hazard, Jags & M'Vila will only be sold at premium prices. I can't see Arsene going for any of these guys if he has to overpay.

It may be a case of Arsene going for a bunch of projects & hoping the squad gels and makes it through to January in top 4/thereabouts type position.

One thing I will say is if we go into the season with the squad as it is we're going to be in for one helluva painful season.

I'd say 4th-6th at best, it wouldn't be of that much surprise to see us finish outside top 4 and I've personally braced myself for it.

Not a relegation battle but what I've seen so far we will struggle to many kids and not enough expierence/leaders TV5 was outstanding on Saturday but he cant do it on his own..
