Captain Bifheart.
Fuckin hell these interviews are depressing.
"They surprised us with their commitment" etc
Perez is sharp and knows what's he doing. wish we played him closer to goal cos he's finishing is lethal.
Wright and Humphey, it wasn't literally a sucker punch.
We're not even a good passing team anymore and aside from Cazorla and Elneny, every player's technique is erratic. We haven't been successfully 'tippy-tappying' since about 2009.
But it seems fans and pundits alike only have a couple of lazy ways to generalise not just Arsenal, but anything football-related these days. You can't have a go at the feckless media and then resort to tired cliches when analysing your own team.
Exactly. It's been a struggle for us when certain players like Santi and Elneny are out. We really struggled to get a hold of ourselves in the first half and just getting the ball in the final third was a challenge. Poor execution, decision making....just poor. It's not the pace it's the technique that stops us playing faster because we've got players that can't pass, can't control the ball or stand next to their marker all game.
But this whole tippy tappy stuff I see on here is really lazy. The first goal we scored wasn't even a case of a rapid change in pace. It was good work from Iwobi too hold that ball up and then find the open space.
