I wouldn't have thought so, he has had a stinker of a year in comparison to 2012 and still had more than enough points in the end. It's not enough for him to beat Djokovic/Nadal anymore but he should have enough to beat most others at least relatively consistently.
Djokovic wins 6-4 6-7 (2-7) 6-2. At least Fed got a set, which might save him later on in the group.
