Makes me sound contemptuous of him but genuinely not, he did ok for us and based on his goal scoring for AC Milan he does deserve to be in the starting XI
Konate picked over Saliba though, not sure I get that one
Honestly think Giroud is probably the most underrated player of his generation. The ultimate team player and one of the best scorers of goals from awkward angles and positions I’ve seen.
Not prolific enough to really be considered amongst the elite but he’s had a great career by most standards.
Australia v France now on. Lots of journeymen in the Aussie, team. Very little obvious talent. They have traveled half across the globe to get bagled, I fear

The amount of stick he got from Gooners was ludicrous.
Didn’t help he was with us after RvP and in a team which didn’t do much.
But he was a very solid player for us.
Giroud must have been to see an African Shaaman, because he owes his entire mediocre international career to the enforced absence of Benzema. He has put a hex on Karim for sure
