But Twitter isn't one single entity. It's full of different people, from angry swearers like Ollie to respected football journalists and everything in between. The rumours on Twitter should no more be taken as truth than the gossip column of a paper. Some tweeters know more than others, some are just idiots looking for attention.
At the end of the day, it's just a social networking site so nothing should be taken for granted on there.
But it gives you so many different opinions and insights. People post gifs/pics/vids of incidents other people have missed, point out a different part of an incident you may not have seen before etc.
For example, within minutes of the Shelvey challenge yday, there was gifs and images flying about and a fierce debate raging as to who was in the wrong and whether both players should've gone etc. Exactly the same as happens on here but with far more participants. There's no reason anyone on GW should hate Twitter when it can do everything GW can do but more efficiently.
