Stoke to get an eqauliser just after half time.

worying that we have noone on the bench to change things up, esp attacking wise.

Wasn't a high pressing 1st 45 minutes..... clearest indication yet that they're getting ripped apart for the 2nd half.

    re:giroud

    opinions

when he's had the ball i just think he could have used it better. calm down pass it and move, forcing things a little imho.

    Theo's a bit missed, too.

His pace and the width he adds to our game would have given these orcs a mare.

Hughes will rile up Stoke during HT and for the first 15 minutes of the Second Half they're going to have a real go. We need to weather this storm and snatch a goal to shut them up.

Haven't really been at the races today tbh. Not created that much but I think a lot of that is due to the fact that Stoke are playing quite well.

I thought its been an excellent controlled performance.

Giroud has been exceptional in my opinion. He's competed for every ball. Won every ball and held off both Shawcross and Huth on multiple occasions. His touch has become fantastic. He would have made a fabulous assist with his head if he had just timed his run from offside better.

Ozil has contributed to both goals and has had two assists so far. We really are missing Theo and a proper winger on the left flank. As it would have given us so much penetration.

Been very impressed by Gnabry. He looks more like a central mid and unfortunately doesn't give us pace and an outlet on the right wing. But again extremely impressive in his strength, maturity and hold up play. Could have had a goal with a better composed shot.

Weakest player so far has been Wilshere. Drifting centrally far too often and leaving Gibbs exposed.

Flamini has been very solid in my opinion as well.

We are competing for every ball. And I'm sure any team watching would see that we are not being outmuscled at all by anyone.

If only we had a pacey winger on both flanks, we'd have cut them open on multiple occasions.

Bit of a strange game so far, the crowd are very flat and there doesn't appear to be much urgency from either side, yet there have been 3 goals. After we scored we fell into that old habit of playing like it's a training routine and got caught out by their first period of pressure, thankfully we woke up and restored the lead.

I think we're missing Theo's running, it's all very congested and geared towards the centre at the moment.

We've not really done a lot wrong but hopefully we can put this to bed before allowing them to come at us again.
