It's true. Khedira definitely is the more established player. But there are maybe fitness concerns over a dodgy knee. I see Schneiderlin as a really good fit here - his fitness is great, he's younger, already used to this league and would be a more defensive player which allows Ramsey to do whatever he wants.

Not sure Wenger is interested though, and even if he is, we'd have to pay a near Lallana/Shaw fee for him which we won't be prepared to do. Now that Southampton have got £60m from player sales they are under much less pressure to sell. We should've moved early if we wanted him.

I'm a little dumbfounded at the Schneiderlin love too. Decent player but I am surprised how willing some are to shell out 25 mill on him, though I realise that is the Southampton going rate.

And Sammy Boy (The German not the lesbian) can definitely play.

    Thank the lord.

Have to say, I'm starting to feel like the worst of GW for some of our transfers rumours. Ryan fucking Bertrand. Fuck off.

Either would be welcome at this point.

In support of Schneiderlin, I'm sure I read that he's been statistically the best defensive midfielder in the Prem for two years running now, in that he's made more tackles and interceptions than anyone else in that position in both seasons? He's not a flashy player, but he's got a good engine on him, he's a decent passer, and, most importantly, he looks alert and gets the job done. Don't know if I'd say he was a £25m+ player, but he's got a lot going in his favour.

Good that we seem to be sounding out a variety of options this summer, and not pinning all our hopes on one player...

Because our defence isn't all that good, shockingly.

Skrtel is inconsistent at best. Agger is made of glass. Sakho I like, but to say there's a mistake in him is an understatement. Ilori is unproven. Wisdom is actually decent but relatively inexperienced. Kolo is Kolo. Kelly is dead. Enrique is dead. Johnson may as well be dead. Flanagan is alright but hardly amazing; the perfect squad player, mind.

Lovren is good, don't get me wrong. But £20m+ is just

    We've signed Nonedoh?
