Afellay made a mistake going to Barca - he was never going to get game time. Would be a useful member of the squad if he could get over the injuries and it's always good to play footie with your best mate! Am still gunning for M'villa to come to us. And I think Dempsey would be a great replacement for Chamakh in our squad. Think he'd be a similar signing to Arteta as in signing someone with perm experience but also someone who is a huge threat in the air like Chamakh was for Bordeaux. Watched this youtube interview with him and I think he's def a player that would enhance our squad, used either as a midfielder or support striker.
Here's link to the interview to anyone interested.

I wish we'd sign Afellay. He'd have a great partnership with RvP (Robin assisted him twice in tonight's friendly game). Ibi has been injured for a very long time but has not lost his pace. Plus he's very versatile and has a great shot.

It's not fair to say that he "wasted" his career at Barca. It's his favorite club and he's said to Dutch journalists that he'd like to stay and fight for a starting place. The guy has a great attitude as well .

Plus he had been out for so long with injury. Barca could've done with him this season, an obvious statement perhaps but I don't think they would've wanted to be relying on Cuenca and Tello for a lot of the season so soon in to their careers. It was Afellay's run and cross that provided Messi with his first in the CL semi final against Real Madrid, I believe. That kind of action is what I think Barca missed.

However, I think we really need to sign a goalscoring midfielder above all else.

Surprised Danny Murphy has been dumped.

I can see Fat Sam foaming at the mouth for Paul Robinson, Alan Smith, Fuller, One Size, Shittu, Diao, Nelsen and Tchoyi.

    'Arry likes Owen and Rodallega.

Also, disgusting how Fulop has been treated by West Brom.

Some of these havent been "dumped" yet

They are all available on frees but some might still extend their contract with their clubs.

Murphy is probably one of them
