Great free kick from Santi. That was a pressure moment and he delivered. Ramsey with that brilliant winner. Still have no idea how he stuck that in. So happy to win the game outright off our own effort and not have to go to penalties or have the ref award a deciding penalty. He had a bad game but I'd feel a little sour if that's how the game was decided. It was fitting for someone to step and glad it was our man of the season.

Some shaky performances out there that needs addressing. Kos and Merts were really nervy and made costly mistakes. Fabianski too. Full backs were ok besides Gibbs miss, but the kid played on with a bad ankle so credit to him for seeing it out. Arteta seemed ineffective, Ozil was ineffective, Giroud got better when Sanogo came on...Pod was rightly subbed but I always feel he has a goal in him. But we at least made it through.

Must have been hell for Wenger sitting through that. Good to see him cheer at the end of all that. It's been a long time coming. Honestly, I'd like to see him walk away on a high. We should be putting our foot down next season to build on this momentum. We're not a million miles away from our rivals. Nobody ran away with the league and there were a lot of slip ups. It was an opportunity missed but it's one we have to get over and do better next year.
Sanogo is an odd one; it does seem like he is a completely blank canvas (for now presumably) Wenger to work with and with no idea what kind of player he will actually go on to be.

On the game itself, we started quite awfully, in what we have seen in the important games on a neutral/away setting throughout. I guess with so many mess-ups it should have been expected we were not going to progress serenely in a final. Arsenal - Newcastle in 1998 this was not.

He has a presence up front and had more of an influence on the game than Podolski. But he needs to sort out his feet when he's in on goal. Lacks the sharpness to create space for himself and unleash a shot. You can see him attempt to create that inch of space, but just seems very clumsy. But he has his uses and could turn out to be a good player.

    Pretty good turn out.

In a way I think it's good for the FA Cup to have a big club win it and treat it with the prestige it seemingly hasn't received in recent years.

I love the fact we took the cup seriously this year. Even against Coventry we played our strongest side.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

Did we have a parade in 2005?

I remember the 2004 one, went to it near the end and came back and watched it on the news all day

Sanogo looks to me like someone whom has yet to master the ability of bipedal movement, hes still struggling to completely understand how best to use his legs. The ball got played to him in so many promising positions but his total lack of a first touch and his ganglyness seemed to make him get tied up in knots.
The reason we looked more dangerous when he came on was we were playing with two strikers and for me pushing Podolski further up would have been a better option, what I particularly like about Ozil is that he's clearly our central midfielder who is most comfortable playing wide, yes obviously his tendency is to cut back inside rather than put in crosses but he's certainly more competent wide left than Podolski.

I felt like shit after 8 minutes and thought this was gonna be another Liverpool/Chelsea but luckily Gibbs cleared off the line and then it was a different game afterwards

Ramsey's finish was fitting, he's been scoring so many imorant goals this season and deserved to get the winner. Wenger deserves his trophy after so long without one and hopefully this will kick start a new era for us.

This was such a big win against Liverpool in the 5th round.
