Djourou simply cannot continue at right back. But what does it say about Jenkinson that Wenger started DoJo ahead of him there? Its a difficult one. Shame Vermalean aint right footed.

I don't think it says anything much about Jenkinson. He's not a first team player, he lacks experience. He's done very well when he's come in but Wenger probably wanted more experience for a big game. Jenks will come through gradually and I believe he'll be streets ahead of JD as a defender when he's put a season or two under his belt.

Jenkinson just came back from an injury.
And was very good in the games he played before that injury.
He will start against Marseille.
And are the people calling Mertesacker shit just basing it on the Chelsea highlights?
Because if you've watched our full matches recently, you'll know he's been very steady on the whole. He may be awkward, but his defending is generally excellent. The weakest aspect of his game is heading, strangely.
You could say he has aided Koscielny in single-handedly improving our results and keeping that clean sheet in Marseille.
