I knew he'd be off this season. Ryo has to be next if we can find him a club. Same goes for Coquelin and lord only knows what's going on with Wellington Silva. I hope the new youth coaches have more direction and success with who they bring through. Most of the kids we bring over from other academies end up staying in the reserves then moved on. If they're not ready to sit on the bench the first team, like Ox and Walcott, they're moved on.

Unfortunately for that Pool fan, that line about Chelsea et al's massive spending is exactly why his plan won't work - the second any of the young players he's talking about start to show any kind of serious form they'll be picked off by Chelsea, City, Madrid, Barca, PSG, etc, etc, and you'll be left with another project player to take their place. Take it from a club that knows - we tried doing the exact same thing when the Invincibles broke up and we were trying to finance the move to the Emirates, and for 8/9 years we just couldn't keep a squad together. Nice idea, but it won't work - young players just don't have the patience for it (especially when one of them suddenly develops faster than their team mates, and their agent/s start whispering in their ears), and any sensible owner will always take the cash if the offer is that ridiculously high...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not banking on it happening, as much as I'd like it to. I just don't think it's one of the things you can specifically at RAWK/Scousers for when every team in the country says the same thing. Especially when there are many many many many many many many things you could.
