Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola says he is 'optimistic' about landing Cesc Fabregas, as the Spanish giants prepare to make a third bid to sign the Arsenal captain in a £35m deal.Full story: Daily MirrorAaron Ramsey says he is ready to replace Cesc Fabregas, if the Arsenal captain moves to Barcelona.Full story: MetroAndre Villas-Boas is set to gazump Arsenal in the race for Bolton's Gary Cahill - on the advice of John Terry.Full story: Daily Mirror
Pep should fuck off. Ramsey isn't good enough and it would be typical if we lost out on Cahill cos of Wengers slow ass dealings

Dont take any notice of the noise from Barca.......dicks like Pique chiming in makes no difference to the proceedings.....Pep is the manger but.......so what? he goes he goes.....time to put the kettle on

Ramsey, at least we have someone acting in a positive manner albeit a bit optimistic/premature - props tho

Cahill, bad business dealings if we get pipped on this.......considering the head start we had on this guy

Let's face it she's probably better than Almunia, Fabianski and Mannone anyway.
    Pics or GTFO tbh

Doesn't look as if there will be any more new signings. I really thought that after 6 identical years Wenger would finally be a bit more proactive, especially with the growing discontent. More fool me tbh. I should have realized Wenger doesn't care about the fans he will keep trying (and failing) to prove himself right. Frankly I'm utterly fed up with him. Perhaps he thinks after a couple of months we've forgotten the shambolic second half of last season, well this summer has made it clear to me that until Wenger goes there will be no change at the club. Expect more of the same next season.

we are waiting to see who we can flog off first then make any moves.

gervinho was a long-time target; so with that sorted there is no rush. If we lose any players then we look to replace them -- ahem -- if the price is right.
‘Arsene was very cautious and David was very ambitious for the club,’ said former director Keith Edelman, managing director at the time. ‘He was very good at getting Arsene into a position where he was comfortable spending money.’

The board have said if wenger identifies a player he really wants and he needs the money it's there. Wenger doesn't think it's worth it!
