What does it mean, "they bought it"? What is the level of spending beyond which you can say the title's "been bought"? What about United's billionaire owners, what about the amount of money they get because of their global "brand", etc etc?

You can't just spend money and win a title. You need a tactically astute manager, and players who have the right mentality in adversity. City showed that today by winning the game in injury time. Aguero could have shanked that shot under pressure but showed what why he's a world class player.

It's quite petty to begrudge them the title, they deserve it. Yes, they spent money to win it but that's the only way in modern football, otherwise the United-Chelsea duopoly would just continue. Our model of fleecing the fans and banking the profits will never deliver a title because our goal isn't to win trophies. Until that changes we'll continue to watch teams like United and City with envy.

You don't deserve it mate, end of. Your lot doesn't get affected by injuries, suspensions anything that other teams have to face (even the chavs to a degree). This is a pure cash trophy, £250K paid to every player, 3 mercenaries per position. And you STILL almost fucked it up.

I've never understood that either. A Director with 85 million is ok, but one with 850 million is not?

I'd much rather have people like PHW running our club, who don't put much money in for investment and who regularly chastise the fans in the Daily Star for questioning the direction the club's taking. Who wouldn't want owners like that? At least he's a bastion of upper-middle class English values, rather than those nouveau riches sandmonkeys.
