I ran the Ongar 10K race in Essex a few years ago. Turned up at some little village hall, paid my tenner, went & sat in a chair to pin my number on, bloke sat next to me said "morning", looked across & it was ****ing Ronnie O'Sullivan. I'd only been awake about 1/2 hour, I sat there gob open, not knowing what to say, & he asked me if I was looking forward to it. Can't remember what we talked about for the next couple of minutes but remember thinking what a right tit I made of myself when he got up.

Then, I thought, "snooker player, he won't be that quick, I'll run around with him & have a chat". He got around in about 39 minutes and came 9th I think, bloody hard course too, I never saw him from about 2 steps after the start line. One of those annoying shits who's brilliant at everything.

Saw him a few times at the Ilford snooker club. Never got a chance to talk to me though as i was surrounded by fans and body guards
