I wonder if this week is Barcelona's 'Rooney dive'. Losing the league at home to Real Madrid and losing the CL to Chelsea at home in the same week will surely have a massive psychological impact. Reputation is everything for them and the way they play the game.

They still have the Copa Del Rey final as something to salvage from this season but Athletic Bilbao have the capability to go mental.

Yes - the 4th qualifying team. If chavs win the CL, then that will be the 3rd place in the PL.

Let me clarify this once and for all. If we finish third we are in the Champions League group stage. If Chelsea win the Champins League then fourth place will not be in the Champions League. And Chelsea wouldn't need to qualify either, they'd qualify as Champions of Europe, even if they ended up finishing fourth.

i think he was trying to be the typical, big hardman english centre back. you know the type who wants to rough up the opposition and make sure he 'knows hes there'. little pushes here or there, little kicks, squaring up etc. its sunday league type behaviour.

This is symptomatic of the 'English' game. An FA ref would have let it go. Our FA refs should try and emulate the UEFA refs so that PL players are used to what is expected in European competitions. The Terrys, Shawcrosses and other ****s would then be booted out of the game.

This is absolutely mental. I only saw the second half, but Barca looked out of ideas. Messi was shocking. Parry refused to believe it when he gave the ball away or ran into players Theo-style for the hundredth time. Gary Neville was an embarrassment. As awful as Chelsea are as a club, it is nonetheless a thing of beauty to see a Barcelona team given every advantage possible fail spectacularly. All their cheat codes seem to have been blocked.
