i think sagna is a great full back, but been a bit dodgy the last couple of games. still first choice but might not be a bad idea to give jenks a go to get sagna to step up another level

He's awesome going forward though. He quickly covers a ridiculous amount of ground for our attacks. I'm not sure he's ever going to read the game well enough to become a Sagna-class fullback.

I think Gibbs is a top, top, top, quality footballer. Apart from today, he's been consistent. He gives our attacks shape. There's very few good defensive full-backs now and Gibbs is probably just adequate in those terms, but in his position I can't think of many who would be better. As long as he doesn't go sleepwalking like today again, he's a huge plus.

I'm happy for us to gamble on Gibbs too. He will still be making mistakes for a while yet and we've got to just accept that and hope his attacking contribution makes up for it. What will be hugely annoying is if we stick with him and he just doesn't learn (like Clichy). By 26 or so you should've done your learning.
