Not heard anything about him since 2008 EurosTottenham and Arsenal have both made enquiries about Malaga star Santi Cazorla – but have hit a brick wall in the shape of owner Abdullah Ghubn.
The north London clubs are both keen on the highly-rated Spanish winger, 27, but Malaga do not want to sell.
The club’s vice-president and CEO Ghubn is currently on business in Qatar but left strict instructions for his club not to accept any offers in his absence. “We are not a selling club,” he said.
The Spanish newspaper AS says the player has a 45m Euro release clause in his contract but the club are desperate to keep him.

That's why I'm never bothered about 'we only got £16m for Henry' or 'we only got 30 for Fabregas' or whatever. If I thought our transfer spending was more closely linked (line, say, Tottenham's definitely is), I'd be more interested. As it stands, whether we lose RVP for 8 or 30, for the fans it's the same difference.
