Grimandi's perm we rarely see eye to eye...but Dempsey scored 23 goals last season and looked like he gave a shit for his team...Arshavin, well do I even need to say anything...he was unfit, low on confidence and couldn't be bothered most days...I know who I'd pay more for.

Not sure what is going on with the Santi deal, I would be ecstatic if we signed him, it would be a major signing. Apparently there's a hold up in the Sahin deal due to wages, apparently he's on 100K per week at Real and they want us to pay the full amount if we take him on loan.
Sahin is a great player, post Real Madrid he was probably the most in form deep lying playmaker in Europe leading Dortmund to the title. He would be a very good "Loan" signing if we captured him, in theory he should walk into our team.
I think both the Santi & Sahin deals are up in the air, but if we capture them they would both upgrade our first XI.
100k a week is a snag for us but hopefully we can negotiate around this. . .we are taking a player they obviously dont want and should show signs/insert clauses that if he does the biz we will look to buy because I think that this guy could be more than a Yossi like stop gap. Dont really know how these thibgs work but 60:40 wouldnt be bad, would it?

Cazorla is likely to be a regular starter and he's at a peak age, so we should expect to pay a premium. Getting rid of Arshavin should cover this though.
We need to clear some timber here before we can really start splashing it about. Walcott and RvP would be a good start
