No idea why we're haggling over these deals when we're in need of back up for a CB.

Merts is unfit, Kos is carrying a slight knock from preseason and Chambers is still very young. We should have signed a CB before selling Vermaelen or at least sold him on deadline day to give Merts some breathing space to get fit.

I have got to say it is worrying...we seem to be reverting back to haggling and dithering over deals.

Unless somebody else has come up who is available for a price we are prepared to pay then I just don't understand why we have not completed this deal...it beggars belief. We were obviously keen on the player, just pay the price and move on...I mean we were 2million short on his valuation.

We are in deep shit at Centre Back and Centre Forward yet seem to be making no progress whatsoever on deals..it's scary...

He was bought as RVP's replacement - a big name player to silence the doubters but ofcourse a player that was available for Wenger type money. He was never going to be a 30 goal a season man & has proved another poor buy.

If we are not going into the market to buy a new forward then it makes no sense to get rid of Poldi now. Might aswell keep him until January.

It makes no sense to be dithering over the fee when we've just sold Verm for £15m.
