Gonna be an interesting atmosphere at the Emirates when Nasri strokes in City's 5th from a Sagna cut back, isn't there...
Wenger hasn't got a self-preservation instinct, clearly.

Wenger has never really sounded convincing when talking up Campbell this summer.
I dont see the fancy of getting 4th.. all this talk about reputation and how being in the CL is important for us is bollocks. May be we need to be outside the top 4 for some major change to happen. We got a combination of inept crooks at our club. A manager adamant about his tried and unsuccessful methods and a board equally inept at firing the said manager.
Dont worry though, we have the FA Cup to look at. Charging the highest prices in world football and winning a trophy the likes of Wigan and Portsmouth have also won in recent years should give Wenger another 10 years.
Arsene Wenger, the only football manager that got paid 8 million quid to do nothing but sit on his arse..
Of course Giroud will be fit again come the new year, so no striker in January either because Bif will be the new signing. They must love it when a plan comes together. Time for Wenger to introduce a bit of the conventional to his life now. Being a visionary is one thing, but actually seeing visions (like Sanogo being able to play football) is something entirely different. I still can't help thinking he MUST bring in somebody before 11pm, and on the other hand I absolutely dread who that might be.
Unless we see Cavani or Benzema pitch up, or at least sign the DM and CB we need, then we are the laughing stocks of football come midnight. Every pundit, ex-player, journalist, everyone has been trying to be kind about Sanogo so they don't destroy the kid. Normally I wouldn't give any credence to what these fucks say, but on this occasion we all know they are right. Sanogo shouldn't be within 100 miles of this club. Everyone on the planet knows it bar Wenger. You can't help feeling that's the position he loves most of all, Arsene against the world.
Even worse though, if the plan is to pitch Alexis into that woeful system we play as the front man and then demand he score 20 goals we could ruin that player too. At least change the fucking system if we aren't going to spend the money to make the current system work.

That would be true if we hadn't started buying serious players. The money is now there, we have been spending it - or some of it at least. We aren't making profits in the transfer windows like we used to. The real issue here is what is going on in Wenger's mind that makes him think Sanogo should be in our shirt while all our rivals are strengthening with real talent. What goes on when we can see a glaring hole at CB and Wenger does nothing about it? If he would explain to the fans what he seems rather than just give that smile as if it's a sure thing he knows something that nobody else can see, that might be something. Sometimes he does need to explain himself, particularly when his latest project is so bizarre.

I would love to hear his explanation for his bizarre tactics and football management. One thing is for sure though.. he cannot hide behind the "there is no money" argument. We have 'at least' had significant amount of money to spend in the last 2 transfer windows. While we have attracted world class talents like Ozil and Sanchez, we have not addressed some of our CORE issues of playing players out of position, zero tactics and playing style. How we went from being one of the most entertaining team in England to one of the most boring teams in England is beyond me. We are atrocious to watch!

Maybe Wenger might sign Cavani or Negredo at 10.59pm.
lol. And it's been a relatively more fruitful window for us with four signings.![]()
Yes but I'd take Alexis, Chambers and Debuchy over the numerical dross other clubs have signed. It's not the numbers, it's the quality and the positions that need filling. Chambers remains the signing of the season so far for me.
Why does he do this shit? Everything was on the up but he simply refuses to plug the remaining few holes that would transform us into the team we've been waiting 10 years to see.
