If this was the first leg it would have been an excellent result but at no point did we really look like putting bayern under pressure. got unusually lucky with the goal as normally any heavy breathing can result in a foul. the frustrating thing was that we had some very good opportunities to create chances but fluffed them by delaying the pass or making the wrong decision, especially in the 2nd half. remember rosicky in the middle with the ox bursting through and instead of sliding the ball between defenders he turned round and passed it backwards thus ending the move.
hope the team learn that we need to win the group, we had a great chance to do that but messed up. basically we are in the top 16 clubs in europe which i dont think is good enough considering the resources we have and the stability we have. but oh well, roll on next season hope we get a hard group like this season made it alot more interesting.
That was the key problem. The tactics. Too negative when negative was never, ever going to get us the result we needed except by some sort of blind fluke. Tactics were so much better in the first leg, until Robben's dubious tactics effectively ended the tie. Wenger has been too negative this season. It's good to see the defence tightening up, but it has been done at the expense of the outfield. Then again, start from the back and build from there is not a bad method.because the rest of the team are playing too deep

Wenger thought we were good enough to compete with the best and that there's no gap, this worries me because their definitely is. We didn't lose last night but Bayern never got out of 1st gear because they didn't need to as at no stage did we come close to turning it around.
From his interview Wenger thinks we lost due to bad luck when in fact we lost because over two legs they were the better side. I think after going out at the same stage for quite a few seasons now and failing to overcome any of the better sides over two legs, he really needs to consider the fact we're not at their level and that this is the issue, not bad luck.
Perhaps you also need to consider the fact we played most of the first leg with 10 men which effectively ended the tie and removed any real measure of "gaps" and competitiveness. We were all over Bayern at the start of the first leg. To me it seemed we were competing. But Bayern were probably letting us do that, lulling us into a false sense of security while Robben limbered up for his dive.

I guess they look similar...

An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.
Ox literally twice as good as Robben (cunt) doing what (supposedly) Robben (cunt) does best - and Ox relied on pure talent rather than laughably obvious cheating.
