I still don't think the last man argument is valid here...but you are right, Raya made it easier for them to give that red card.

It was actually a foul on MLS first, but obviously not given. Then MLS clearly takes him down but the ref can defend this all day long because Raya was in the CB position for some incredibly fucked up reason. He's been doing it all match, getting as far as the halfway line on occasion.
