our reliance on Robin Van Persie is similar to our reliance on Thierry Henry in the 05/06 season to score enough goals to get us champions league football. There isn't enough goal contribution from other sources, we have Chamakh who is thankfully injured because his presence on the field is about as self-assured as Ed Milliband at the dispatch box and Park Chu Young who remined us on Tuesday that his main contribution will be helping to sell shirts in the far east market. Gervinho could be played as a striker but his finishing is dire, and he's better as a foil for Van Persie.....and Walcott also seems to go absent in every other game.
I would personally throw Oxlade-Chamberlain in at the deep end, put him on either wing along with Gervinho and allow walcott to play up front, and then replace him if he starts to tire with Arshavin who seems to fair better as an impact substitute than a starter and play him behind Van Persie and allow Walcott to remain on the wing, of course this would be dependent on playing a 4-4-2 system which would see one of ramsey, arteta or song dropped and on current form i'd drop arteta.
