I get BT Sports for 'free' with my internet package.

The HD element is an extra £3 per month. I'm not really that bothered about the HD, but couldn't be arsed to cancel it.

Then I saw this advert and thought, wtf, I've got fuck all else to do right now, so cancelled the HD.

    Nice work BT.

Would be Rawkish to launch a mass boycott of BTSports, write long threatening emails to their CEO, hound any employee associated with the company, spread numerous online petitions urging BTSports to apologise etc etc ..... but we're a long way from that. It's just been a few mentions on twitter and generally some disgruntled Arsenal fans online.

At any rate, I'm not questioning the legality or their right to air that ad, just the wisdom of it as a sensible marketing tool. Reliving that match is not something most Arsenal fans want to do, on the contrary most want to completely forget that humiliating horror show. Consequentially it gives a negative subliminal message and association of their product to Arsenal fans which can't be in their interests. And it doesn't make great business sense to alienate and annoy a large potential subscription base especially when said group are probably the richest in the country.

Me personally, well I was thinking of adding BT Sports to my sky package for next season but this combined with some of their other terrible stuff, including Michael Owen's commentary ....... probably will give it a miss and save my money.

Edit - Made it's way to the Metro now.

In all honesty it was our team that ruined BT Sport for us anyway by associating it with such rancid performances!

BT, Sky, most of the media - just arseholes looking for the next marketing angle, there's nothing meant by it. There's not even any thought that goes into it.

Now the Daily Mail, that's a completely different story. If fans want to boycott something boycott that cunt of a rag.

The BT sport marketing team thought they were being clever with that advert when they filmed it over the past couple of months. Thought Liverpool would push on in the summer and that we'd carry on being tight arses. Well they've sold Suarez and replaced him with Lambert while we've signed Sanchez. That advert will look ridiculous next season.

I've never been a fan of BT, I find the majority of the people that are on the other end of the phone pretty moronic, and they lack communication between departments. So this advert doesn't really surprise me...

Not sure why they didn't stick to the tried & true method of showing the best goals of the season and a shot of the champions lifting the trophy at the end. Perhaps they wanted to do something a little different, but isolating & humiliating a large portion of the fans is never going to earn them any subscribers (at least from the fans of that particular team).

Hopefully our Players will take this as incentive to rip apart any and every team they come up against! I wonder if BT would then dedicate an advert to that.

On a side note, I don't think that it's just Arsenal, but the English media are possibly the most deprived bunch of fuck knuckles out there, and cling onto any "scandal" that they can get their greasy hands on. English Media reminds me of the twat of a kid in the playground who sees someone do something, then proceeds to tell the rest of the kids how bad it was so that they can isolate and bully them.

    Wilshere caught smoking again.

The way we're spending money, he really needs to stay on Wenger's good side if he wants to play a leading part.

Even based on form he shouldn't have been near the first team. I would even place him behind a 34 year old Rosicky in the pecking order. But getting caught smoking AGAIN? Pull yourself together FFS Jack
