A bit quiet. He’s a finisher and was too reliant on everybody else bringing him into the game. Didn’t have legs to keep up.

What's happening now is they are all buying into the agenda by default. How can a player who didn't have the legs and was quiet (according to Keown), rate higher than a player who worked hard, though apparently didn't to enough with the possession (in fact he set up at least two great chances with very tidy play so Keown is talking bullshit anyway)? This isn't even about opinions any more, it's about sheep with their noses stuck in the arsehole of the sheep in front, being led by whoever's dragging the first dumb animal. Who started this Ozil nonsense, was it the Daily Mail by any chance?

He rated Messi 7.5, the same as Schweinsteiger. Ridiculous. Again, not a matter of opinion just a blind eye to the facts.

Now Keown must know a hell of a lot about football, having played at the top level for many years. So why would he come out with shit like this? Or does he even do the ratings? Maybe he just pins his name to shit made up by some backroom turd? However the stuff is squeezed out, it stinks.
TBF I only listen to him when he is being totally biased towards Arsenal

When Messi wins player of the tournament, is there any point in wracking our abused brains in the forlorn hope of finding even the slightest crumb of sense or reason in these things? It must be some kind of infernal running joke. Albeit hairsplittingly unfunny.

God damn it I missed this. Shitty BBC post match coverage.

Hope someone uploads the full clip of the Germans celebrating. Need my Ozil, Mertesacker and Podolski fix.

    Epic picture btw:

Ozil alongside possibly Shirley were Germany's best attacking players tonight.

He had a really good game, no surprises when he moved back into the central position. Helped start and keep attacks moving against a top Argentina defence which had 10 men behind the ball whenever Germany attacked. Honestly unless he starts pubbing in them in from 30 yards every match this narrative is never going to end. Even the BBC are at it.

They parrotted the same tripe in their ratings. Gave Ozil a 6, yet Kroos a 7 despite the latter gifting Higuain the chance of the match, missing chance after chance (laid on by Ozil) and generally not being very effective tonight.

Looking at BFG, you can feel the joy in him!!! Compare to those around him, they look like, we'll win it again, no big deal.

Fairest set of ratings yet. It reflects pretty well, the overall quality of the game and how the players performed relative to each other.
