This won't be a stroll because we need to win which means we can't park eleven behind the ball and hope for a lucky break. Of course we should have enough to win.
Look at their results above, those teams didn't all park the bus, they beat them playing football in some cases, Man U have been poor and are there for the taking.

9 games, 3 wins (one led to them being knocked out of league cup, so not exactly a win) ,1 draw, 5 defeats

    Hardly a fearsome record.

Wouldn't argue against the fact they are there for the taking. But don't paint them up as canon fodder.

I don't think they are cannon fodder for us, for two reasons

    1) Our defeat on Saturday - this will whether we like it or not have an impact on confidence, no team concedes five goals and comes out of it unaffected
    2) Our mental block against them - we more often than not don't turn up against them and barely create any chances, then one of their strikers pops up and grabs the points

In the end though I don't think you should expect anything other than a win when you're at home against a side who are 7th and in pretty poor form as well, when you're second in the table. I don't think they are much of a side however and if not for the above two reasons, we'd expect to beat them.

So if we beat them, all we have to look forward to is having the joy sucked out of the win.

    Yay.

I got home yesterday to find the score 2-2 and thought "lol". I thought hold on, if Fulham get a draw against them then we'll definitely get a win but then remember that that logic doesnt work when it comes to us Vs them. Man u re were fucking dire earlier in the season too but somehow, we managed to lose them even though we were top of the league and had won two massive games the week before.

Wenger is scared of Man ure, his record, esp in the last 10 years, is fucking terrible. His team selection for the away game was there for all to see when he played a defensive side and tried to get a draw. Our big players didnt turn up, we barely had a shot on goal and left OT with our heads down affer yet another defeat.

Im not expecting us to win, im hoping we stuff them of course but it just wont happen as long as the manager's approach doesnt change.

impressive post. Now you're arguing with yourself and writing a post where othe first paragraph disagrees with the second. You've moved the goalposts so far you don't even know where they are any more.

I'm not arguing with myself at all, I think we should beat them given the situation of both clubs, I just feel we make it harder for ourselves than we should due to being mentally weak.

I posted their record this year, 3 wins (one was a was in the league cup in which they ended up going out, so not exactly a win), 1 draw and 5 defeats, that speaks for itself.

since we last played united at home, there has been a 35 point swing in our favour.
