    Saka...

This is where a proper striker would've been sprinting to get on the end of that, Saka was running not full pelt and it was too much for him

Good work from the crowd there:

    The referees a wanker

    Bravo

It's not like he smashed it one.

    Completely harsh to book him

This ref is a shitcunt though so I'm not surprised.
Sorry that’s bollocks, the defender is being a cunt but Rice needs to move away and not put himself in that situation

    lol, how is it bollocks?!?

He had his back to Veltman and was walking away - what exactly more should he have done. If anything Veltmen knew what he was doing by kicking the ball at Rice.

Overall the lack of a proper forward cost us.

3 good chances in the second half to win the game but no one with the killer instinct to finish them

We had to win really, and now we have to hope that West Ham do us a favour. You don’t want to be chasing City this early on in the season. And thanks to Rice being outwitted by a Brighton defender, the NLD derby is even harder. We can’t afford not to win that game or we are potentially five points behind City going to the Etihad.

Me? I’m sick of this constant whining about how referees are harsh on us. We get good decisions, we get bad decisions. This was at most a little bit harsh, but you don’t give the referee the opportunity unless you’ve got shit for brains
Watch the replay again, it all happened in seconds, Rice is walking away and has his back to Veltman who then kicks the ball straight at Rice.

People can argue letter of the law, but a second yellow was a pathetic decision from the ref.

Well, the silly yellows proved decisive as suspected. Poor refereeing BTW.

A draw is probably a fair result for a game we approached poorly. Prepare for a lot more this season seeing as we've assembled the world's most fearsome bunch of CBs

On a serious notte, our threadbare squad has shown its true nature in only the 3rd game of the season. If not for the crowd, I'm almost certain we'd have lost this game.

What a way to ruin a Saturday.

Oh well at least we got a point from surprisingly poor Brighton side.
