I don't think Muzza has much of a chance on clay.
He just won on blue clay. Im sure red wont be a problem
which is odd given the time he had playing on it during his formative years. he's hit the semi's of the french before and with questions marks over how long feds and nadals legs will hold up, he'll get a good crack at it i think. the djo/murray rivalry looks like one to takeover from those two.
He'd need to avoid David Ferrer on clay too really. I don't think there should be too much of a question mark over Federer's legs, not yet anyway. He's a younger 31 than all his rivals will be!
Murray doesn't play with huge amounts of top spin like Federer and Nadal do - that's one of the reasons those two have been bar by the best clay court players for most of the time. Those two and Djokovic are all much better at direction changes in their hitting than I would say Murray is, plus there is the issue with sliding in to shots, something Djokovic is insane at.
hmm. you've outfoxed me with an expertise this novice is not yet ready to deal with. i can't contend with comments such as those about top spin at the moment.
however. i will blindly stick to my guns in the hope that i fluke the right result, so i can in turn use that to boast later on.
good davis cup game on eurosport 2 right now
Regarding the Davis Cup (Argentina vs Czech. Republic), Del Potro beat Stepanek 6-4 6-4 6-2.
Monaco is 2-1 up on Berdych and up a break in the fourth.
In the other semi final (Spain vs USA), David Ferrer beat Querrey 4-6 6-2 6-2 6-4.
Almagro beat Isner 6-4 4-6 6-4 3-6 7-5.
good call on these davis cup matches - the crowd in argentina are mental!
the previous game with isner and almagro was very good - nuts how they were cheering his failed first serves.
and maradona![]()
