I'm not particularly cut up about Carroll going per se (as I say his 4 or so goals weren't exactly critical) but we've let a lot of forwards go this window and not really replaced them, we probably have weakened an already pretty poor forward line.

Playing some good football is nice but there was an open goal to get someone who desperately wanted to come and could score a decent number of goals, and we hit the post.
