We very well may who knows, tonight was about restoring pride and the lads did that. Had they scored 1 we'd have probs gone out anyway, is it frustating yes, was it a shock we went out no, this moring if i said we'd be 3-0 up with 10 mins to go We'd all have laughed and said forget about it.

We still needed two goals to win that tie and we simply lost our way after half time. RVP could have scored but we could have froze up gone to extra time and still lose. We needed to keep that attacking pressure on to win that tie and as Syn said, we went in a half time and started to over think things.

Also, the injuries and weak bench didn't help matters. Theo and Ox's injuries just took the wind out of us. Gervinho is shit and there was no point in bringing on Park and Chamakh.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that this season is going to be another failure. Out of the UCL in the 2nd round against an average Milan team, out in the FA Cup in the 5th round against a mid table Sunderland team, failure in the Carling Cup and the only thing we have to "look forward" to is 4th place AGAIN. Wenger said two seasons ago, "judge me at the end of the season" and he felt the squad he had created were capable of winning trophies. That didn't materialise, he loaned out a lot of the deadwood at the start of the season, and what's happened is that we've regressed as a club from that time.

No sure why your moaning we were out the CL when we lost in milan as you said, did not see you moaning when we beat spuds and pool and calling the season a failure.

It was like the FA Cup semi-final against Man Utd, just threw strikers on - makes it so much easier to defend against but then, we were left with Djourou being one of the few remaining attacking options.

If anything tonight showed that we need to bolster our forward options. Absolute facepalm when Chamakh and Park come on to try and raise and tempo and salvage something, no one is going to be inspired by that.

The problem was that we lost the midfield in the 2nd half, and it became extremely scrappy. Without AOC injured, we had only two in there, and Song was having one of those days and Rosicky looked shattered.
