Olympic silver medallist Christine Ohuruogu was third in the 400m on her return to action at Friday's Diamond League meeting in Stockholm.
American Sanya Richards-Ross, who beat the British athlete to London 2012 gold, won again in 49.89 seconds.
Several of Great Britain's Olympic athletes were on show, with Shara Proctor fourth in the long jump.
Adam Gemili was fifth in the 100m, while Rhys Williams finished sixth in the 400m hurdles.
Holly Bleasdale, meanwhile, was seventh in the pole vault and Laura Weightman eighth in the 800m.
Ohuruogu, 28, finished in 50.77secs, behind Richards-Ross and Botswana's world champion Amantle Montsho.
World junior champion Gemili, who just missed out on the men's 100m final at the Olympics, ran 10.22secs in a race won by Ryan Bailey of the United States - fifth in London - in 9.93secs.
There were 11 Olympic gold medallists in action, with six of them winning in Stockholm.
In addition to Richards-Ross in the women's 400m, Christian Taylor of the United States won in the men's triple jump, Russia's Yuliya Zaripova in the women's 3,000m steeplechase, Sandra Perkovic of Croatia in the women's discus, New Zealand's Valerie Adams in the women's shot put and Russia's Anna Chicherova in the women's high jump.
Three more finished second in their events, with Felix Sanchez of the Dominican Republic beaten by American Michael Tinsley in the men's 400m hurdles, Tomasz Majewski runner-up to Reese Hoffa of the United States in the men's shot, and Algeria's Taoufik Makhloufi - the Olympic 1500m champion - beaten by Mohammed Aman of Ethiopia in the men's 800m.
Two other Olympic champions were surprising flops, with Brittney Reese of the US ninth in a women's long jump won by Russia's Yelena Sokolova and another American, Jennifer Suhr, failing to register a height in the women's pole vault as Cuba's Olympic silver medallist Yarisley Silva triumphed.
    Nothing to get excited about

Usain Blake is running in the 100m, according to Gabby Logan.

Gets under way soon, Bolt is running in the 200m at about 8:15.

Rudisha was beaten in the 800m. The track is sodden though.
