It still feels like squad depth could cost us, we’ll only need a couple of injuries to key players and we’ll drop a level. But there is something about this side, we are getting results which we weren’t last year. The title wasn’t even in my thinking before the season, we surely have to be in that conversation now.
I wasn’t even aware of this stat

I completely dismiss out of hand any idea that we will win the league, I do think however that it unlikely that we will finish any lower than third now.

However, what I would say is if Arteta thinks we can win the league this season…I think you will see it in whatever moves we make in January, as I don’t believe even he is deluded enough to think we can do it with such a thin squad.

I have been dismissing title talk but they’re passing every test.
Ok, Chelsea haven’t been in the best form but beating them at their place is “a statement”.
Especially doing so when City fluked a win to leapfrog us.
And sure, we should be winning games like we did yesterday but knowing City had lost it could have been a bottle job. But it wasn’t. Arteta has got them in this zone where they are laser focussed on winning every game. We will need some luck with injuries but I’m beginning to believe it’s a possibility. It wouldn’t have even crossed my mind preseason.

I'm tempering my excitement by reminding myself of that run in April.

    Liverpool (A)
    West Ham (A)
    Southampton (H)
    City (A)
    Chelsea (H)
    Newcastle (A)

If ever there was a season destroying set of fixtures, it's that. We'll see what we're really made of then.

I think 18 points will be more than enough.
If you don’t send this signature to ten people, you will become a Spurs fan.

Yeah that’s brutal, especially now Newcastle are a different animal as well.

To be honest even the 5 games post-World Cup we’ll need to be at our best:

    West Ham H
    Brighton A
    Newcastle H
    Spurs A
    Man Utd H

Not many easy fixtures in this league anymore that’s for sure.

We still have to fit in Everton (h) somewhere and then also Man City (h) too.

Having said that Man City have to fit in Spurs (h) and Arsenal (a) I suppose you could say.

    Blimey, yeah.

I wouldn't put it beyond the PL to give us a double header to effectively decide the title

I'm worried about the effects of the world cup - I hope England and Brazil go out early so our players aren't too involved and Arteta can work with the full squad more.
