No, we needed a striker that could stick the ball in the net. "Top" is defined by hype merchants and agents, but 27 goals is a better story. Those goals helped win a title and isn't that precisely what we are looking for? Add a CB to this mix and. hard to believe, but Wenger will have done the business. Finally he'll have closed that 2% gap.

Not sure how well he'd do playing in front of a defence rather than off it. Will he adapt to tippy tappy does WUMger just want to replicate Leicester? His finishing was off the chart last season so that's got to be the most encouraging thing though.

Exactly. He's a very direct player, who works very well on the counter. I've no idea how he would work in a team that holds onto the ball for most the game and only a small amount of chances come from counter attacking.
