It's shocking that we're in a fight for 4th now to be honest, we're pretty much in the same boat as last season,we've just taken a different route to it.

I'm disappointed with what I see as a lack of progress and on top of that the spankings we've had to endure which have just been an embarrassment but have seemingly been written off as a bad day at the office by the manager.

If we get a bit of luck on the injury front we'll be okay. Of course, since when did we have a bit of luck on the injury front? It was a bloody sin to lose the game against Everton.

If Wenger had bought in January, we could have been challenging for the title. Instead, we look like missing out on fourth. Not that bothered to be honest, if we get fourth, Wenger stays!

In truth - despite yesterday's scrape through - this Arsenal team looks even more toothless than most of our recent incarnations. I am genuinely concerned that we can't finish fourth.

If we don't win on Tuesday then it's likely to be a real struggle. I know Everton have the trickier looking fixtures but we have no momentum so 'on paper' projections mean little.

Hopefully getting the cup final in the bank gives us the confidence back.

    Sincerely yours,

NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

Yep, its now clear that we havent made any real progress. We looked good up until December but when it really mattered, we were found wanting again and the lack of winning mentality + threat upfront cost us. That Liverpool loss was the beginning of the end, the way we were dismantled was embarrassing and not only did it derail us, it also gave Liverpool so much confidence and they've been on a winning run since.

The only bit of progres we have made is in the cup where we've beaten 3 good sides but we still havent won it yet and thngs could turn even uglier if we loss to Hull.

It's probably been my most frustrating season as an Arsenal Fan, as we showed so much promise throughout the majority of the Season only to implode completely when it really mattered. We are now having to depend on Everton messing it up and us having a flawless finish (given their form and ours, it's a little hard to imagine).

I can imagine myself chewing my fingers off (let alone the nails) as the season comes ever closer to finishing.

I don't think Everton dropping points against City or Utd (who, for all their wobbles, have an excellent away record) would be them messing it up.
They've won 7 in a row, if they win 12 in a row then fine, well done them. I don't think they will though.
It's only a couple of points, we have to win tomorrow though.

I wonder if Utd would be willing to loan Moyes back to Everton for the run-in? Good for Utd, good for us.

I'd be 100% confident of overhauling a Moyes Everton. It's 50/50 trying to peg back a non-Moyes variant.
