Wenger has pretty much confirmed we're trying to sign Podolski.
He wouldn't usually go that overboard on a name if it wasn't pretty much nailed on. This is good news. Top player IMVHO.

I don't think he can avoid saying the name with the newspapers saying it's a done-deal etc. but it's clear that Arsenal are trying to sign him. From his comments it seems like Podolski might be holding out for a bigger club. Maybe. Could turn out similar to Mata and several other players in the past we have been close to getting. I just hope that -if we do miss out on Podolski - Wenger is able to get another player of the same pedigree. A lot of the time, if Arsene doesn't get his main target, he's too fussy to find someone else.
I don't think even WUMger can be that Wummy to keep hold of Maroon5 and NCP.
