Mahrez will cost an arm and a leg and I suspect we would have to be very proactive and aggressive in our pursuit of him as he would have many suitors if it becomes public that Leicester are willing to sell.

I really like him as a player and would be quite happy for us to pay big money for him as I think he would upgrade our team and make a big difference.

I dunno....I'd love to believe these Mahrez rumours but it seems very un-Arsenal like of us to go cherry picking a rival PL team for it's best players, saying that the Vardy bid is very un-Arsenal like so who knows?!

Somebody didn't expect quite this much success when those contracts were being penned. I think the clauses only apply for clubs in the CL.

There were some rumours Mahrez was open to a move in recent times, if we put in a decent enough bid we could get him IMO, it's not like we're trying to sign Chelsea.

2 ways of looking at it, players at Leicester could stay, be worshipped like heroes but of course risk a tough next season next campaign, move to a club who will get a top 4 place but not win anything, or move to a top club who will win stuff (if the option is there).

Plus if they leave Leicester don't think it will go down well, which I think will affect Vardy's decision more as an English player than Mahrez.

Very strange to be talking about Arsenal transfer business when it's not even the last 2 hours of the transfer window.

Anyway, if we land Vardy and he's serious about Mahrez too then add Xhaka into that mix and there's now way he could be planning on going with the same style of play. What would be the point? If Mahrez is not just some tabloid fantasy then we might be looking at getting back to proper football next season
