No that’s ten games without a win in Liverpool (Liverpool or Everton) our winless run against Everton was five games

    Fucking amateurs

    This too from the BBC:

Everton have failed to score in four of their five Premier League games this season, more often than any other team.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have scored in all five of their games, more than any other team.

Er wonder how Man City have 15/15 then.

Well we all know what Neverton's objective this season is just to stay up tis why they've stuck with Dyke.

Dermot Gallagher saying the Martinelli decision was correct because Beto would never have chosen to play the ball back like that.

Just like Frank Sinclair would never have chosen to lob his own goalkeeper and score an absolute peach of a goal in the wrong end, it’s utter bollocks the ball came off him last because he went to try and block the pass from Gabriel…whether he intended it to land for Nketiah is neither here nor there.

I agree. If a defender shanks a ball unintentionally into the path of a forward who goes on to score the goal of course stands. Why should it be different with an offside? The rule as I understand it concerns whether or not the player off whom the ball deflects is in control of the ball? If so, then (1) why is this necessary? You can affect a the trajectory of a pass without being in control of the ball and for offside it should simply be a case of the player who last touched the ball. (2) Stockley Park is now getting involved in guessing a players intent, which is a subjective unknown and surely not the original purpose of VAR. The competency of VAR decisions is now being drawn into question in every other game and surely it would be better for the off field official to stay out of it. If this trend is to continue I would prefer it if the on pitch referee makes the decision. He might get it wrong, but as it stands, VAR is doubling down on it.

Lastly, I thought that VAR was supposed to favour the attacking team. We are seeing too many incidents where it seems that VAR is trying to chalk off goals rather than officiating on clear and obvious refereeing mistakes.

Also interesting to see the Sheffield Utd manager talk about the ref basically telling them how to play the game, officials are interpreting and dicatating far too much
